Alan is a project implementation specialist, having many years experience as an Architect, Principal Agent & Project Manager responsible for project design, co-ordination and integration of multiple disciplines on major infrastructure projects. Alan was directly involved in academic research in health sector norms, systems and planning, including impact mitigation of HIV & AIDS incidence in Communities since 1983.
Alan spent 4 years as Project Co-ordinator on a European Union funded Community Sustainable Livelihoods Project, engaged deeply in Social Facilitation research and implementation, Precinct & Bioregional Resource Mapping, Community Business Planning, Environmental Impact Mitigation in sensitive environments and Heritage sustainability a component of which was communication design of integrated Web-based data, monitoring & evaluation systems.
Alan spent several years as Planning & Implementation Management & Monitoring Support to District Municipalities & Local Government sectors, training in development of Municipal Integrated Development Plans for Local Government (Netherlands funded programme). Alan has specialised in ‘mainstreaming’ critical impact issues (Poverty Alleviation, Gender Equity, Water & Disease Mitigation- UNDP programme) into Integrated planning processes to achieve the SDG’s..
Craig applies Earth-System dynamics into Resource Governance, Development Planning and Incident Response systems. He specialises in Integrated Sustainable Planning and Management, the analysis and application of Environmental and Planning Legislation and Policy, as well as Transdisciplinary Strategic Planning, Project Management and Design Facilitation.
He has developed a Precinct-based Integrated Resource Flow Systems Platform for multi-sector Watershed Custodianship, Legal Compliance Monitoring, Risk Management and long-term Scenario Planning, with spatial representation via Web-Mapping interface.
Craig is conducting applied Systems Engineering research into the integration of Deep Learning, Blockchain, IoT, Distributed Computation and Token Economics for Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience, Parametric Early Warning Systems, Resource Flow Modelling, Supply Chain Impact Logistics, Environmental Planning, Legislation and Compliance, and new modes of incentive-based commons governance.
